– Shoppers will spend €1,000 online on average in 2006.
– Online retailers could control 15% of private customer transactions by 2010. This will equal €60 billion of spend.
– Online card payments in UK has reached 310 million transactions in 2005, totaling €22 billion.
– This accounts for 5% of all card payments.
– 28 million users in the UK use credit/debit cards to purchase online.
– The market for epayment services will increase to €13 million in 2008, and €40 million by 2010.
