Additional key findings include:

– Of the consumers who research online, 58% had annual income of $50,000 or less.

– This income group reported electronics, apparel and medicines/vitamins as top products they researched online.

– Consumers with annual income of over $50,000 reported electronics, home improvement items and appliances as top products they researched online.

– Consumers said Google is the top website used for product research.

– Other websites in the list include Yahoo!, Amazon, eBay and Wal-Mart.

– Of the consumers with annual income over $50,000, 27% used Google first for product research.

– 20% of consumers with annual income below $50,000 used Google first for product research.
