Secure Computing is going to acquire email security vendor CipherTrust for $273.6 million. CipherTrust shareholders will receive a 14% ownership position in Secure Computing.


Secure Computing is going to acquire email security vendor CipherTrust for $273.6 million. CipherTrust shareholders will receive a 14% ownership position in Secure Computing.

The $273.6 million will be comprised of $185 million in cash, 10 million shares of Secure Computing common stock and $10 million seller note.

Secure Computing is a provider of security appliances/firewalls, identity and access management solutions, and content management and filtering solutions.

CipherTrust is a provider of security solutions to protect against messaging threats including spam, viruses, intrusions and phishing.
