European Broadband has reached mass-market status, according to a survey by Yankee Group.

Key findings of Yankee Group include:

– Broadband service providers are becoming a trusted source for value-added content and home networking equipments

– Two-thirds of broadband consumers purchase multiple services from the same provider

– One-third buy three products from the same provider

– Advertised access download speeds are losing relevance with the increase in overall bandwidth availability

– One-quarter of broadband consumers use internet telephony

– One in 10 consumers has a VoIP handset.
