5.3 million internet users visited the official FIFA World Cup website on June 22, 2006, according to comScore. The site registered over 290 million page views.

According to comScore, there was an increased in World Cup information as a result of increased visitation levels at other web portals, including MSN and AOL on June 22.

Additional findings inlucde:

– Japanese language page views reached 16 million on June 22.

– Australian page reached 3 million page views on the same day.

– On the day of the UK-Sweden match, Sunday accounted for 12% of the week’s page views.

– Saturday accounted for 32% of the week’s pages in Sweden.
