Google holds 44.1% share of the search engine market as of May 2006, according to a study by comScore Networks. This is a 6.6 point change compared to May 2005.

Other search engines in the list include:

– Yahoo: 27.9%

– MSN: 12.9%

– Time Warner Network: 6.7%

– Ask Network: 5.3%

– MySpace.com Search: 0.7%

Additional key findings include:

– Americans conducted a total of 7.4 billion searches online in May 2006, a 12% increase compared to April.

– Google sites registered 3.3 billion search queries performed and topped the list.

– Yahoo sites registered 2.1 billion search queries and MSN registered 963 million.

– Google and Yahoo together accounted for 95% of the search engine market share.

– Google accounted for 49.1% of toolbar searches.
