Google has launched ‘Google Search Appliance’ and ‘Google Mini’ in Australia and New Zealand.
The Google Search Appliance enables businesses to search for information behind their firewall using Google interface.
The Google Mini enables smaller businesses to add Google search to their corporate networks.
Local businesses and organizations of Australia and New Zealand can now use Google’s search technology to search across their internal content such as company intranet, databases, business applications and public websites, according to Google.
Google has appointed ChannelWorx as the distributor for Google Enterprise products in Australia and New Zealand.
Google has also partnered with BearingPoint to launch a Search Solutions Practice for enterprise customers in Australia and New Zealand.
Dave Girouard, vice president and general manager, Enterprise, Google, said: “The Google Search Appliance enables businesses to quickly and easily search for information behind their firewall, all while using the simple Google interface”. [source]
