I LOVE writing affiliate checks!

Last week I spoke at Carl Galetti’s seminar about how to build your own affiliate program. I told a story about why I LOVE to write checks to my affiliates. I thought it was a powerful lesson and wanted to also share it here.

The concept is simple. We pay different commissions on different products, but it averages out to be about 35% of our profits go directly to our affiliates.

At first my wife used to be upset every month when she saw a 1/3 of everything we made being sent out to people she didn’t know… that was until I helped her understand this one thing…

For every $1 I send an affiliate – they put $2 back into my pocket.

When you understand that concept – how many checks would you want to write out? Well needless to say, she doesn’t mind any more – in fact sometimes she even helps me to sign the checks. 🙂
