63 million American adults bank online, according to a report by Pew Internet & American Life Project. This accounts fro 43% of internet users.

Additional findings of the report include:

– 55% of home broadband users bank online.

– 35% of home dial-up uses bank online.

– 42% of internet users of age 18-29 bank online.

– 47% of internet users of age 30-49 bank online.

– 42% of internet users of age 50-64 bank online.

– 27% of internet users of age 65 or more bank online.

– 55% of households with annual income over $75,000 bank online.

– 29% of households with less than $30,000 bank online.

According to the report, “While the percentage of internet users banking online is holding steady, internet users are increasing the frequency of their visits to banking and other financial websites.” [Source]

The number of unique visitors to business/finance websites increased 9% in April 2006, compared to April 2005.

The top five business/finance websites for 2005, include:

– Bank of America

– PayPal

– JPMorgan Chase Property

– AOL Money & Finance

– Capital One
