CyberSource Corporation has launched a new payment data management service. The service will enable eCommerce merchants to process electronic payments without the risk of storing and handling sensitive account information.


CyberSource Corporation has launched a new payment data management service. The service will enable eCommerce merchants to process electronic payments without the risk of storing and handling sensitive account information.

With Payment Data Management, CyberSource manages sensitive customer information such as credit card numbers and related transaction data.

Payment Data Management services include:

– Hosted Payment Acceptance – CyberSource manages the acceptance and processing of the eCommerce transaction on behalf of merchants

– Secure Storage – focuses on the storage of payment and related consumer transaction data.

Mark Reardon, director of security for the Authority, said: “CyberSource’s Payment Data Management service has minimized the challenge by eliminating the need for our constituent agencies to handle any payment card information”. [source]
