Ask.com has launched Blog & Feed Search. The new service is for searching posts, feeds and news published.
The service leverages Ask.com’s search technology and subscription data from Bloglines.
The tools available with Ask Blog & Feed Search include:
– Search for Posts, Feeds, and News within the blogsphere.
– Sort by relevance, date and popularity.
– Preview feed by moving the mouse over the binocular icon.
– Export search results to web services.
– View released feeds on the search results page when searching for posts.
Additional features available for users of Ask Blog & Feed Search on Bloglines include:
– Search within or excluding their subscriptions to narrow queries.
– Search for citations to see who is talking about your blog post and what they are saying.
– Top Queries for the Past Hour shows a user the top queries with other Blog & Feed Search users.
– Author Related Search shows posts authored by a person and about a person when queries are recognized as names of people.
– In-line post preview displays the entire post on the search results page with original formatting, links, images and Flash videos.
– Mobile friendly.
The service is available from the Ask.com homepage Toolbox and Bloglines.
