Internet ad spending has increased 19.4% in the first quarter of 2006, according to TNS Media Intelligence. The total ad spending for the first quarter has increased 5.2%.
The total internet ad spending for the first quarter was $2.31 billion, compared to $1.93 billion in the first quarter of 2005.
Other media that contributed to the increase in total ad spending include network TV, consumer magazines, Spanish language media, national newspapers, Sunday magazines and local magazines.
