The ACMA has launched SpamMatters. SpamMatters is a reporting button which enables the user to report a spam to the ACMA with a single click.
Once a user clicks on the SpamMatters button, it reports the spam email to ACMA and simultaneously deletes the spam.
Chris Chapman, Chairman of ACMA, said: “Spam reported using the button is provided in a format assisting forensic analysis, and the ease of reporting is expected to greatly increase the amount of spam reported to ACMA.” [Source]
The SpamMatters button is available to users of Microsoft Outllook and Microsoft Outlook Express.
