Internet REIT has acquired Netster. The acquisition gives iREIT over 400,000 domain properties and increases the company’s traffic portfolio to 50 million visitors per month.

iREIT brings in traffic through direct navigation techniques. Direct navigation is to locate a website by typing its name directly into a browser’s address bar.
According to Susquehanna Financial and RBC Capital Markets, direct navigation comprises over 6% of US and UK search ad markets. The company also predicts that direct navigation will exceed $1.2 billion ad revenues by 2007.
