Mozilla has launched Ben Echo Alpha 2. The new browser will include inline spell checking in text boxes, automatic session restore after a crash, and changes to the default tab browser.


Mozilla has launched Ben Echo Alpha 2. The new browser will include inline spell checking in text boxes, automatic session restore after a crash, and changes to the default tab browser.

Other features of Ben Echo Alpa 2 are:

• Links are defaulted to open in new tabs, instead of new windows.
• Close buttons appear on every individual tab.
• Search suggestions appear in a search box, which is auto-complete for Google and Yahoo!
• Search plug-in manager can be used to remove and re-order search engines.
• Microsummeries feature for bookmarks.
• Add-Ons manager allows users to manage extensions and themes.
• Search service that supports Sherlock and OpenSearch engines and
• Support for SVG text using svg:textPath
