The Internet Advertising Bureau has announced the Broadband Video Commercial Measurement Guidelines. The guidelines determine at what point a video commercial is counted.

The guidelines also add browser or browser-equivalent-basic-internet-activity that involves streaming video and audio advertising content.

The guidelines are basically applicable to interactive media companies and ad-serving organizations.

According to the guidelines, a broadband video commercial is a commercial that may appear before, during or after various content, including streaming video, animation, gaming and music video content.
