Yahoo Japan has launched Yahoo!BB. Yahoo!BB is a broadband service launched by Softbank BB Corp.

YahooBB will use 40-Gbit/sec link interface on the Cisco CRS-1 core router. The National 40-Gbit links in Japan will carry IP services, including IPTV, and video-on-demand.

“The upgrade of the routers reinforces Cisco’s prediction at the launch of the CRS-1 in mid-2004 that multichannel IPTV services would warrant upgrades to native 40-Gbit links soon.” [Source]
