Google chat is now available with sound notification settings. Gmail will play an audio notification for each incoming chat.


Google chat is now available with sound notification settings. Gmail will play an audio notification for each incoming chat.

To use this feature, Flash should be enabled in the computer.

Audio notifications are enabled by default. To disable them:

1. “Log in to your Gmail account.
2. Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page.
3. Open the Chat tab.
4. In the Sounds section, select Disable.
5. Click Save Changes”
