Meebo does not require any downloads or plug-ins since it uses AJAX technology.

Meebo is available in 46 languages. Users post translations of English terms on the site using a user-created Wiki. The translation is automatically posted to Meebo by a script.

The IMs that one can log-in to on Meebo include Yahoo! Messenger, MSN, AIM, ICQ, Jabber, and GTalk.

The features offered by Meebo include chat history storage option, ability to show different online status for different accounts, a single sign-on and a unique pirate emoticon.
