China is second in the list with 74 million unique visitors, followed by Japan (52 million), Germany (31 million) and UK (30 million).

Other countries in the top 15 list were South Korea, France, Canada, Italy, India, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Russia, and Australia, respectively.

Peter Daboll, president and CEO of comScore Media Metrix, said: Today, the online audience in the U.S. represents less than a quarter of Internet users across the globe, versus ten years ago when it accounted for two-thirds of the global audience. This is a sea change of enormous proportion, and comScore is pleased to be able to provide measurement to aid the world’s largest marketers in understanding how the world uses the Internet.” [Source]

The study also revealed the top 15 countries ranked by average hours spent online for per each visitor. The average hours per visitor worldwide was 31.3 hours.

Israel was top of the list with 57.5 hours per visitor in the month of March, followed by Finland (49.3), and South Korea (47.2). Other countries in the list were Netherlands, Taiwan, Sweden, Brazil, Hong Kong, Portugal, Canada, Germany, Denmark, France, Norway and Venezuela.
