Five-second video ads may be the future of web advertising, according to Arik Czerniak, chief executive of Metacafe.

Arik Czerniak Said:

– “30 second pre-roll ads are too long

– Both publishers and advertisers will need to learn to lay off. This is why I think a 5 second video ad is the best solution

– It helps publishers monetize so they can build great products without irritating consumers

– In today’s world consumers have never-ending choices, and if you get in their face with disrupting ads they will find greener pastures

– For advertisers this is going to be a challenge – but hey, if you can’t sell your brand in 5 seconds (a lifetime in internet space-time) maybe you should give it up anyway…”[source]
