Yahoo is testing its new messenger service with selected users. Yahoo’s newly launched messenger will be able to access wi-fi networks and Yahoo is going to offer this service at a fee.

Yahoo is tying up with Wi-fi networks to provide acess to Yahoo Messenger. This service will allow the users to use IM and VOIP for a fee.

This service will allow the users to make IMing and VOIP calls.

“Now when you are on the move to the places that you go most – airports, hotels, coffee shots – you can stop twiddling your thumbs and start communicating via instant message with the people you care about most…all for free,” according to Yahoo.[source]

With this service, Yahoo users will also be able to get unrestricted access to Wi-Fi networks for $7.95 per month, or two hours for $2.95.
