Some of the proposed guidelines include:
“¢ All lead generation efforts need to be permission-based.
“¢ Advertisers/publishers/vendors must send consumer offers or information only if it strictly adheres to information requested by the consumer.
“¢ Advertisers/publishers/vendors must provide clear, concise privacy policy.
“¢ Publishers/vendors should deliver consumer data that meets the advertiser’s criteria for quality lead, determined by the advertiser’s marketing objectives.
