Google has released Desktop 2, an improved version of Google Desktop Search.


Google has updated its desktop search and the big difference in this new version is a sidebar that gives access to Gmail, news, weather, photos, RSS headlines, a Scratch Pad (for quick note-taking) and a Quick View list for web pages and files used often. It keeps tabs of users online surfing habits and delivers personalized information.
