It took a pandemic to get some companies to finally pay attention to the power of content marketing. That’s one of the key findings from new research from the Content Marketing Institute and MarketingProfs.

Content Marketing Institute is hosting a webinar ‘2022 B2B Content Marketing: The Sleeping Giant Awakes’ on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 2.00 pm ET.

The CMI team says, “Join us for a discussion about the findings along with insights to prepare for 2022.

A few key stats that we’ll be discussing:

  • 67% of content marketers said their team was asked to do more with the same resources – Are content marketers squeezed too tight? What tools, technologies, and processes can help?
  • 44% said creating content that appeals to multi-level roles is their top challenge, replacing internal communication, which was the top challenge last year – Why is this?
  • 58% said virtual events/webinars/online courses produced the best content marketing results in the last 12 months – Will the trend toward digital continue?
  • 66% expect their 2022 content marketing budget to increase over their 2021 budget – top predicted areas of investment are video (69%), events (61%), owned-media assets (57%), and paid media (57%) – Are these areas you’re looking to invest in, too?”
