I was up late last night writing the advertisement for the new video creation software, Create by Vidello. I was forgetting that I needed to wake up on time to go to my physical therapy appointment. In the end, when my Alexa alarm woke me up, I only had about 4 hours of sleep.

When I woke up, I was in the middle of a vivid dream that I still remember in its outline. A friend and I, both of us musicians (he, a banjoist; I, a singer), had found two guitar players and were performing in concert at some venue I don’t recall. I announced to the band that we would perform “You are my Sunshine”. I then proceeded to make up words, beginning with “I want to be your sunshine”, followed by other words that sometimes rhymed, sometimes not. I sang them to the tune of “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas”, while the band struggled to keep up.

Was my late night worth the effort and the crazy dream? It’s hard to say. I do like to give a boost to useful products, and this video creation software seems to be high quality. We bought a copy ourselves for our own marketing, so the time I took learning about it may have paid off for us in the long term.

Edit: I just re-read that last paragraph. It reminds me of the Progressive commercial in which Jamie invites his co-workers to his home to meet his family at a party. He comments, “It’s good to be surrounded by what matters most- a home and auto bundle from Progressive.” It sounds like the ad that I wrote was my only concern. LOL I got to my therapy session; I feel a little better; I came home and got some sleep, interacted with my family, went to a church meeting, watched some TV. There’s certainly more to life than writing ads.
