eMarketer has predicted that Snapchat’s US ad business will grow by 24.3% in 2019. The report states that the company will cross $1 billion in US net ad revenues in 2020.

  • Snapchat’s worldwide average daily active user base (DAU) for the app was 186 million in Q4 2018
  • In 2019, Snapchat’s US monthly user base will reach 77.5 million
  • Snapchat’s US ad revenues will capture 0.6% of the US digital ad market.

Monica Peart, senior forecasting director at eMarketer says, “Self-serve programmatic buying has expanded Snapchat’s reach to more advertisers, especially small and medium-sized businesses that can invest in ads at lower bid prices. However, moving the vast majority of their ad inventory into this lower cost structure has tempered earlier growth estimates”.
