Darren Thompson had a problem. He noticed a large increase in traffic, but no corresponding increase in affiliate sales. As he recounts the story, “I emailed my Affiliate Account Manager and asked him if he could check their logs to see if there was a spike in sales for another account that was originating from my site. Sure enough, an account belonging to a guy in Russia had suddenly jumped with sales but the originating click reference was routed through his site and there was no way to tell where the traffic or source has come from.”

His WordPress site, where he had been earning a living, had been hacked, raising his hosting costs while stealing his affiliate income.

When he learned that Google now penalizes sites that have been hacked if they represent a potential threat to their search audience, he became even more concerned. He resolved to not just stop this theft, but to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

He wanted to come up with a system where he could instantly install a fully working security package that would protect his WordPress sites with just a few clicks. Now he has released his security plan for all marketers to use, called WordPress Bullet Proof Security Suite.

He discovered that there are already free plugins that, working together, will lock a WordPress site so no hacker can penetrate it. So he built his plan around plugins that are available at no charge.

If you hate paying for plugins (even critical security plugins) that you can get for free on the WordPress.org site, his training on how to use these plugins together may be what you need.

His training has two components: first, a way to check for any type of injected malware code and, second, once it is “clean”, a way to protect the site perpetually.
