Finding a voice

These days, a lot of things on the web require a decent speaking voice.

For example, if you create video tutorials, your voice needs to be understandable and pleasant to listen to.

Same goes with podcasts and other audio messages.

Your voice needs to be pleasant to listen to and understandable.

This can be a problem if your audience speaks English and it’s not your native tongue. Or if you have a heavy accent that only people from your part of the world can understand.

One way to get around this is to use text to speech software to do narrations for you.

I’ve been testing these tools, and am pretty amazed at the results.

With minimal effort, you can quickly turn your written text into very nice sounding audio files – which can be used stand-alone or as narration track for your training or other videos.

To see and hear how well these tools can work, check out the audio clips I’ve created at http://www.bmyers.com/public/1317.cfm

I think you’ll be impressed. Once you hear the results, you won’t be able to use the excuse, “I don’t like my voice”, when it comes to creating products that require you to speak.
