There’s a well-known marketing term, described by the acronym pf AIDA.

A: Attention

I: Interest

D: Desire

A: Action

First, you capture your prospect’s attention.

This is done with your headline.

Put it this way– if your ad fails to capture your prospect’s attention, it fails EVERYTHING.

They won’t read your salesletter or notice your offer if they never ‘passed’ the headline.

Then you want to build a strong interest in your prospect. You want them to keep reading, because if he reads, they just might buy the stuff you’re selling.
