F-Secure Warns of ‘Luder.A’ Worm

F-Secure has warned the Internet users from ‘Luder.A’ worm. The worm sends itself as an attachment named ‘postcard.exe’ in e-mail messages with the ‘Happy New Year!’ subject, according to F-Secure.

The trojan downloader downloads and runs files from a website.

To disinfect the computer from the Luder virus-worm:

1. Disconnect the computer from the Internet

2. Disable network sharing

3. Scan files on all drives select the “Disinfect” action to disinfect all infected files

4. Restart the computer

5. Scan hard drive on disinfected computer

6. Enable network sharing

7. Reconnect the disinfected computer to the Internet.
