Jason Mangrum here with you again with another lesson, this time the 2nd to last in this series.

Last lesson we started working on the idea of becoming a recognized expert in order to promote affiliate products.

Dirty trick #2 is something that many people have heard of… but the real secret here is to spin it differently.

Dirty trick #2 is forum marketing.

So, you may be wondering… “Ok, so what’s the spin?”

Well, as you may know, most forums allow you to place a signature, which is essentially a link to any site you choose, at the bottom of each of your posts…

Unfortunately though, most marketers don’t target their forum marketing. They might have a gardening link in their signature and spend all their time chatting at an Internet Marketing forum.

That’s not going to bring in truckloads of traffic to your affiliate offering. What you need to do is find niche forums that are specific to your niche product and that have a decent member and post count.

Most people give up here because they have a hard time finding the “right” forums.

Well, that couldn’t be easier when using a resource like Forum Find to search for you. Go there and list your criteria to locate almost any kind of forum under the sun.

There have been times when I’ve picked a topic so off the wall that I thought there would definitely be zero results returned… and boy was I surprised when there were.

Now, once you’ve located some forums that relate to your niche topic, the first thing you need to do is sign up, create your profile, include your signature with your link to your affiliate product and make your first post.

Rule of thumb… first post is strictly an intro post.

> From then on, follow the posts and threads at each forum and search for questions. When questions are asked, answer them.

This actually starts to become much like the last technique we discussed for Yahoo Answers. You’ll quickly begin to notice traffic to your signature link.

Make sure you answer even the difficult questions, and you’ll really start to see your traffic blow up. People believe in the power of recognized experts. When someone asks a question on a forum and someone else chimes in, “Ask Hiba Khodr”, you’ll know you’ve accomplished your goal.

This can equate to some serious money… there are many marketers that make a living off forums alone.
