Opera Software has released ‘Opera 9 for Devices’ to provide Internet access through set-top boxes, portable media players, games consoles and other electronic devices.
Opera Software has released ‘Opera 9 for Devices’ to provide Internet access through set-top boxes, portable media players, games consoles and other electronic devices.
Opera 9 for Devices includes expanded standards support and Widgets. The Widgets run outside of the browser on the device’s main interface and can be launched and managed with a single click, according to Opera.
Key features of Opera 9 for Devices include:
– ‘Added Web technology support
– Widgets for devices
– Supporting JavaScript and native applications
– Plug-ins
– Supports Unicode, proprietary character encodings and Bi-Directional scripts’.
Opera 9 for Devices provides an environment for AJAX, web applications and dynamic user interfaces.
