5% of U.S internet users watch online videos daily, according to a study by the Online Publishers Association. 24% watch it at least once a week and 46% watch online videos at least once a month.

The study also revealed that 69% responded that they have watched online videos and 93% responded that they were aware of online videos.

The study also revealed that 65% of heavy viewers of online video were male, compared to 35% of females. Internet users around 33 years of age were likely to be heavy viewers of online videos.

29% of the respondents said they use the same website for viewing online videos. 58% said they use 2-5 different websites to view online videos, 7% said they use 6-10 different websites and 6% said they use more than 10 websites.

The study also revealed that 48% share online videos by emailing the website address. 48% said they forward emails they received containing links to the videos.

66% of internet users said they have seen online video ads, while 34% said they have not.
