NBC is going to acquire iVillage for $600 million. After the acquisition, iVillage will report to Beth Comstock, NBC’s president of digital media and marketing development.

Bob Wright, NBC Universal chairman and CEO, said: “It has built a strong name for itself and it’s a very advertising-friendly platform. It gives us immediate scale in the online world.” [Source]

The videos include “Today”, “Project Runway” and “The Biggest Loser”.

The deal has to be approved by the shareholders and regulators. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2006.
