Google has announced a beta version of Google News for Mobile Devices. Using a web-enabled phone, mobile users can access top headlines, browse through news categories, or search for the stories they want to read.


Google has announced a beta version of Google News for Mobile Devices. Using a web-enabled phone, mobile users can access top headlines, browse through news categories, or search for the stories they want to read.

Erin Earl, Google Mobile Software Engineer, has posted on the official Google Blog: “You can access the news you want, whenever you want, by using a search box, top headline listings, and browsable news categories. Just type google.com on your web-enabled phone, and click the link to Google News”. [source]

Google has given instructions, “How to Use Google News on your mobile phone”.

1. Go to google.com on your mobile phone’s browser and click the link to “News”
2. Browse top headlines, or news in categories
3. Search for the news you want
