Google has signed a deal with Vodafone. Vodafone users will be able to use Google’s search engine to find content within the Vodafone Live multimedia portal and the Web.


Google has signed a deal with Vodafone. Vodafone users will be able to use Google’s search engine to find content within Vodafone Live multimedia portal and the Web.

With the deal, Vodafone aims at increasing Internet usage by customers and help it raise data revenues.

Vodafone will also get a share of advertising revenues from Google.

Arun Sarin, Chief Executive of Vodafone, said: “We have Vodafone Live. It is a terrific experience for a very large number of our customers who can’t be bothered with a navigation tool.” [Source]

Sarin also said that Google would not be the home page on Vodafone Live.
