SimpleFeed has launched secure RSS. Secure RSS is a new technology that enables the delivery of RSS protected by a username, password and unique URL.

Mark Carlson, CEO of SimpleFeed, said: “SimpleFeed brings together the best of what RSS has to offer customization, personalization, self-service, security and customer convenience and makes it simple for companies to deploy RSS feeds.

The new SimpleFeed Secure and automated Web import capabilities give businesses the fastest, simplest and most reliable path to RSS — with the measurement they require and the personalization their customers deserve.” [Source]

The secure technology works with RSS readers that support log-in, which includes the Internet Explorer 7, NewsGator, FeedDemon and SharpReader. It does not work with My Yahoo.

SimpleFeed has also launched Automatic Web Import. Automatic Web Import allows companies that can publish content on their website to publish content on their RSS feed automatically. Companies can import a web page by cutting and pasting a URL.

SimpleFeed can automatically create feeds from marketing content and sources on the web, including press releases, customer and product information, blogs and podcasts.

SimpleFeed has also launched a self-service model for customers. The self-service version allows businesses to set up their own RSS feeds using a web interface. The self-service version features SimpleFeeds templating and URL.

The self-service Basic solution is available for $99/month.

The secure RSS technology and Web Import technology is available only with the Enterprise solution.
