Google has released Google Toolbar Beta for Enterprise that has an installer package. Company administrators can customize the toolbar and offer it to their employees.

Using the new Google Toolbar for Enterprise consumers and enterprise users will be able to create buttons for running search queries on any website directly from the toolbar.

The buttons can be customized to display feeds and headlines or other information from a website. The sharing features allow sending web pages, or portions of them, via gmail SMS, or a Blogger-powered blog.

Google site announces it as: “Google Toolbar Beta for Enterprise enables IT administrators to give your employees the productivity features of the Google Toolbar. Using the Windows installer you can push the Google Toolbar Beta for Enterprise to any of your employees and configure preferences at the administrative level.” [source]

The Official Google Blog explains the flexibility feature of the toolbar as, “Flexibility: The simple inclusion of RSS & Atom feeds (and particularly allowing the update of toolbar button icons through feeds) has allowed for buttons like a weather button and a mood ring button”. [source]

Initially the Google toolbar will be available in the U.S., in English, and for Internet Explorer only. Google plans to make it available in 16 languages by the end of the quarter and will eventually release a Firefox version.
