Google has launched new API (Application Programming Interface) tools that developers can use to create small application modules or widgets. The modules can be used to personalize the user’s Google Homepage.

Developers can write such modules and submit it on the Google Homepage API site.

The modules that have been picked by the staff will be displayed on the Google Homepage Content Directory page. Users can add these modules to their Google Homepage.

The Google Blog says “With the Google Homepage API, developers can now create modules for the personalized homepage. It’s designed to be flexible and easy to use, and you don’t need to download anything to create a module.” [Source]
