Google has added Web Clips feature to Gmail. Web Clips allows Gmail users to view web clips on top of the Inbox page.

Users can customize the new feature to display any links from RSS or Atom syndication feeds.

“Each clip displays the source from which it was received, how long ago the clip was published, and a link to access the entire story or page containing the clip.” [Source]

Gmail has also added another new feature which automatically detects addresses and tracking numbers in the email’s content. Users have the option of flagging these addresses and numbers and mapping the addresses to get driving directions, getting shipment delivery status, etc.

Another new feature is the ability to view .pdf, .doc, .ppt, .xls format attachments etc as HTML pages. “For when you’re on a mobile device or you don’t want to install some new software just to view a document. Or if you just want to see it faster.” [Source]
