Opera browser’s new upgrade has addressed security flaw that was found in the browser’s Macromedia Flash Player. The flaw allows hackers to take control of the user’s personal computer.

The security update is offered with the Opera 8.51 for Windows.

Another flaw was also find with Opera’s shell script which is used to lauch Opera in Linux and Unix operating systems. The affected script processes shell commands within URLs passed to the Opera through the command line.

“The release is a recommended security upgrade for Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris users, because it updates Opera’s wrapper script not to run commands included with URLs passed from other applications.” [Source]
