Consumer spending on U.S. retail web sites for November and December holiday season will exceed $19 billion according to ComScore Study. This is a 24% increase compared to last year.


Consumer spending on U.S. retail web sites for November and December holiday season will exceed $19 billion according to ComScore Study. This is a 24% increase compared to last year.

Other findings of the ComScore Study include:

Non-travel spending up to Nov. 20, 2005 $5.4 billion
Non-travel spending up to Nov. 20, 2004 $4.4 billion

Comparing 2003 and 2004 holiday spending ComScore has found:

Thanksgiving weekend spending for 2004 $737 million
Thanksgiving weekend spending for 2003 $553 million

Spending on Black Monday, the monday after Thanksgiving day in 2004 was $380 million. In 2003 it was $300 million.
