MSN is planning to launch four new ad types, VIR, VOTP, ExSky and B&S, in China, in order to increase ad clients.

Chris Dobson, General Manager of digital marketing sales in MSN, said, “China’s online ads volume takes up less than 1% of that of all types of ads, but future volume will increase to 4% or 5%. China has a great potential in online ads as it boasts great broadband facilities.” [Source]

Microsoft is planning to make MSN an ads operator, in order to increase profit from online ads. According to Chris Dobson, China makes up only a small percentage of MSN’s ad income.
