Michigan Business Review has reported that Google appears set to launch an expanded library digitization project in Ann Arbor for the University of Michigan.


Paula Gardner and Brian Hamilton have reported in Michigan Business Review that “Google Inc. appears set to launch an expanded operation in Ann Arbor for its library digitization project for the University of Michigan”. [source]

Google has advertised for a “Server Room Technician – Ann Arbor”.

According to the Business Review report Google had been looking for up to 40,000 square feet of space for the digitization project. Google also needed space for a Googleplex, up to 250,000 square feet.

Google started the scanning operations on University of Michigan property early this year.
