Google has had meetings with 300 analysts and is planning a meeting in Zeitgeist, Oct 25-27, with 400 people on the invite list and rumours are floating as to what Google’s next move might be.

Nothing much is known about the meeting that was held and the meeting that is to happen and what Google’s next move could be is anybody’s guess.

Some analysts also feel that Google is keeping all its competitors guessing and is pushing them to make the first move. They quote eBay buying Skype and Microsoft’s talk with AOL as examples. It is said that there are security concerns in using Skype’s technology and eBay might have over paid and 2.6 million is way beyond what it is worth. Similarly Microsoft may overpay for America Online.

David Schiller, a portfolio manager at JP Morgan Chase & Co., who
attended the 300 analysts meeting reveals his guess for Google’s next move:
“Best case scenario is they want to buy a bunch of search companies
or online gaming companies in China”. Google’s next move in the United States is also equally speculative, which involves lofty
notions of a free nation-wide ad supported wireless network.

Search Engine Blog reports that Google is planning a meeting at Zeitgeist, “on Oct. 25-27, the first “customer innovation conference” Google says it has ever held. About 400 people are on the invite only list. Speakers on the agenda range from the top three Google Guys, Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Eric Schmdit to IAC’s Barry Diller to MSN’s Yusuf Mehdi to Yahoo’s Terry Semel to Microsoft blogger Robert Scoble”.

But Google has permitted no press coverage or blogging.
