A survey of online buyers indicates that the high gasoline prices are beneficial to online markets as more people are ready to buy online.


A Shopzilla.com survey of online buyers reveals the increase in the gasoline prices has motivated 40 percent to go for online buying.

According to Internet retailer report out of the 40% who have increased online buying, 15 percent say they are shopping online much more and 25 percent say somewhat more.

The remaining 60 percent say they have not changed their shopping habits.

Lundberg Survey indicated that the nationwide average price of a gallon of gasoline reached $3.01 last week, a record, both in absolute terms and adjusted for inflation. The average price has gone up $1.15 in the past year.
