Yahoo! has announced the general availability of the new version of Yahoo! Mail.
The new Yahoo! Mail enables users to send free text messages from Yahoo! Mail to mobile phone numbers in the US, Canada, India, and the Philippines.
Users can also send send instant messages from Yahoo! Mail to members of Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger, according to Yahoo!.
Other features of the new Yahoo! Mail include:
- The new Yahoo! Mail is faster and more responsive than previous beta versions
- Users can now refine their e-mail search results using advanced search options
- Shortcuts (U.S. only)
- New Color themes.
