In Q1 2017, More People Turn to Long-form Video Content
Video has become an integral part of marketers’ content marketing strategy. Social networks like Facebook have turned to be video-focused domains.
According to Ooyala’s Global Video Index Q1 2017, more and more Internet users are turning to videos and the latest trends show that they are watching long-form video contents now.
More Findings
- In Q1 2016, 35% PC users preferred to watch long-form videos. The number rose to 65% in Q1 2017.
- When it comes to phone users, 29% users saw long-form videos in Q1 2016. In Q1 2017, there were 55% people who preferred to watch long-form videos on their mobiles.
- In Q1 2017, 81% tablet users watched long-form videos as against 51% users in Q1 2016.
Ooyala teams says, “Broadcasters, with their abundance of premium content, have had enviable numbers as far as pre-roll ad completion in the past, and that didn’t change in Q1”.
