Since Napoleon Hill interviewed 500 wealthy men nearly 100 years ago and documented his findings in his iconic book, Think and Grow RichNapoleon Hill Think and Grow Rich, we have had an inkling of what personality traits, mental traits and psychological traits are demonstrated by those who become wealthy.

Rich people think and act differently from those who are “just getting by”. By changing the way you think and act, you change the results you get. If you want to be a rich person, you need to think and act in the way that the rich have demonstrated lead to riches.

Steve Siebold, himself a self-made millionaire, has decided that the knowledge Hill gained and shared, as good and foundational as it is, may need a few updates in this new era. Consequently, he recently published his book, How Rich People Think

He went farther than Hill did a century ago and interviewed 1200 wealthy people, using that database to build a composite profile of how they built their wealth.

Not every attitude or opinion they hold is admirable, of course (none of us is perfect), but even if you implement only half of their strategies, you will find that your own business will grow as a result.

For the most part, if we want to join them, we would be wise to hear their advice on how to get there. That’s the purpose of Siebold’s book. He isolates 21 habits, traits and actions the already-rich have practiced for years.

If we want our business to grow and earn us wealth, these habits can be key ingredients to enable us to succeed.

Seibold’s book isn’t expensive (the Kindle version is under $10) and is worth a look.

If you want a summary of his finding, while waiting for your book to arrive, here’s an article from Business Insider, written by Kathleen Elkins and Libby Kane, where they list the 21 traits: : 21 ways rich people think differently than the average person.

Who knows; maybe the next chronicler of the ways of the rich will interview you.
